Let me first apologize to my clients that I have put on this list without asking; but as you all know, you have signed your life away with us on our liability form and for not calling I am sorry. On the other hand, I know all of these guys won't mind and I am sure they will be glad to help you with any questions you might have on a hunt. Plus we all love to talk goose hunting. Should you not be able to get a hold of anyone and or need additional local references, I would be happy to find some for you. Updated: 10/10

| HUNTTHENORTH.COM OUTFITTER REVIEW For the month of March HuntTheNorth.com field rep Jason Crook and his group were able to participate on one of Snow Goose Specialist – Scott Robinson’s premier Missouri spring snow goose hunting adventures near the infamous Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. As Jason found out, Scott does things a little differently than most spring snow goose hunting outfitters and Scott vast knowledge and experience paid off big for the guys. Be sure to read all about it! | |

___________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, I can’t thank you enough for such a great hunt. The six of us cannot stop talking about it. To see all those geese, wave after wave was just surreal. Don’t get me wrong, there were lulls in the action, but once they started flying, they didn’t stop. I can’t say enough about about our guides, Alex ( Chef ) and John, along with Kelly, not only were they very professional and informative, we had quite a few laughs, on our next trip, which will definitely be next year, we would really like to have them again. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but you run a first class operation, from the accomadations, to the meals, to the guides. It was great talking to you and finally meeting you. We are all counting down the days until next season, please keep in touch. Sincerely, Rino Cocilovo Medinah, IL ___________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, just returned from our hunt on March 13-15 with the Rino C. party. Wanted to let you know what a great time we had. Hunting on the first day was good, second day weather/snow completely shut the birds down, but the third day was unbelievable. For two hours we saw continuous waves of geese flying over us by the tens of thousands (no exaggeration, maybe even more). Our guides Alex, John, and Kelly taught us well and are some of the best guides I have ever hunted with. Even on the one bad day they kept us laughing and entertained. Thanks for letting us keep them for all three days. Lodge staff were also great and provided us anything we needed. Keep up the good work and we are looking forward to next year... C.M.& The Chicago Guys ___________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Scott,
The 2 day trip home was great with constant conversation about our hunts. Very similar to your electronic calls with a pause for rewind being the same as our snoozes.
We forgot to join the snow goose group that you started. Could you forward some material on that and please thank again all the guides that took such good care of us, especially your pal, Pepsi?
Your whole operation is first class and we look forward to next year's hunting.Best regards,
Bob Waterman ___________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, Just wanted to drop you a line and Thank you for the hunt. We all had an absolute blast. We also learned a ton about Snow goose hunting from your guides out in the field. I wish we could have chatted with you a bit but I can see you have alot to do to keep your operation running smoothly. I think we were all a little humbled when the shooting started. I never had to lay on my back, shoot straight up while making circles with my gun. What a rush!!!! You were right. I think our guide "Pepsi' said it best after we had a wad of snows come in and all flew out except one "You guy's cant hit a bull in the ass" He was right.... and we all laughed our butt's off. We will definitely be back next year.....I think we will be bringing more guy's with us as they see the pic's and video. We will be talking about this trip for a long time to come.....at least till next season :) Thanks again for the great time, Jino Dinello ____________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, We had a great time hunting with you over the last 3 days. Junior is a great guy, and we appreciate you letting him take us out all 3 days. For the tips, the other rep and I will be splitting them .........Also, if you could let me know how you split up the money I would appreciate it so we can know how to take care of them next time we hunt with you. All goes well this year, we might be able to hunt with you next spring. Thanks Again for a great time. Porter Phelps ____________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, I know that the 2011 season is not even over yet, but I was wondering about coming back and hunting with you guys in 2012. What are the prices for a 3 day hunt and also a 5 day hunt? There will be 3 of us coming, we can all stay in the same room at the Lodge. Once again, our hunt last week was amazing!! I wish we could go back in time and do it all over again!! Thanks, Jeff Bitton __________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, Thanks again for all of your fine hunting accomodations and great guides this year. We had another productive and enjoyable hunt and look forward to booking with you again soon. Chet Adams _________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, We had a great time; by far one of the best waterfowl hunts I have had. I have been on numerous guided trips before, and our guide, Dave, was definately the best I have had. You are lucky to have him on your staff. I talk with hunters in the Chicagoland area a lot, and will definately be sending some your way. Thanks a lot for working with us on a new date since we got snowed out last year. I know it was difficult to fit us in. Count us in for next year for at least three days. Let me know when we should book with you to try to get in on the first of March lext year (if possible). We also told Dave that he is welcome to come hunt geese with us in Illinois this coming year................we have two very good fields outside of a ........that is always stacked with geese. If you are ever in our area and want to hunt, call me and we'll get on some birds. Thanks a bunch!!! KB (Kyle Booras, Illinois) _________________________________________________________________________________ Scott, First, I had a great time regardless of the weather. Always good to get out to your part of the country, to hunt with you and yes, I will be back next year. Your guides that worked with us ( Junior, Cory, and Clark ) were " FIRST RATE " they did all they could to get us birds, but if they don't fly little they can do about that. Tell all hello and thanks, and will see y'all next year. Again, Scott, thanks for all your efforts to make the hunt work, this year it just wasn't in the cards and the weather was a against us, but who can complain, we still shot more birds in 3 days than we kill all season back, home! Best Regards, Bob Brannon

 | I have been to Mound City and have hunted with other outfitters and we had never had the experience that we had with you. What a awesome hunt, it was unbelievable seeing the big flocks tornado over and work into our set. It really did something to me. I have never seen anything like it, I'll be back again! |

Goose explosion: despite more hunting, light goose population numbers are still too high.(FIELD REPORT) Article from: Outdoor Life | April 1, 2011 | McCombie, Brian | COPYRIGHT 1998 Bonnier Corporation (Hide copyright information) Copyright inShare0
THE SPRING LIGHT GOOSE HUNTING season has added significant business for Scott Robinson and his guide service, Snow Goose Specialist, based out of Mound City, Missouri. "We've had guys from nearly all fifty states and five countries try their hand at chasing the white goose in spring," says Robinson. More spring hunting has boosted interest in the fall season, too. Yet despite the additional hunting, Robinson sees more light geese than ever. "We have excellent success rates on our hunts," Robinson notes, "but when you compare it to the amount of birds migrating above you--tens and tens of thousands, sometimes daily--it just pales in comparison." .... _____________________________________________________________________________________

That in itself was worth the price of admission for me. Then in late March I went to SE South dakota with SD Waterfowlers and hit a huge wave of juvies just in time and had a blast. Both hunts were over a couple hundred decoy spreads with electronic callers and couldn't believe how effective they were. That is.. if the wind was giving the socks some motion. Another thing with the electronic callers is that you better like the sound of thousands of honking snow geese cause you'll be hearing it in your sleep for days afterwards...lol I can't wait for this spring, especially with the hatch being as good as I've heard it was! *with the amount you killed in Missouri snowpatrol33, you are a DIEHARD! good for you brother!! Two years ago they had temps in the 20's and windy. Last year it was in the 50-60's and one day near 70. As for shot size, we all shot BB's. They aren't hard to kill but the guides like to call alot of long shots, thinking that if you're shooting you're happy. We're going back to there around those same dates. starky View Public Profile Find all posts by starky #3 02-05-2011, 04:34 PM Grouse Hunter Charter Member Join Date: Jan 2000 Location: Michigan,USA Posts: 2,388 Photos: 2 Scott is the outfitter, you're guide will probably be a local. I beleive he owns a restaurant/bar in downtown Kzoo. Talked to him a couple times, he seems to be the read deal and was open to some of your own options, such as your own dog coming along or what not. I know he does well around here for goose and duck. Nice guy to talk to. I did not know he did spring snows. Just from talking to him, I would book a hunt through him if I could. Kind of like hunting with one of the guys feelings I get from him. _______________________________________________________________________________________
